 Access Bank Wins Two Awards at 2026 Global Good Governance Awards in Singapore




LAGOS, NIGERIA — Access Bank Plc has earned dual international recognition at the 2026 Global Good Governance (3G) Awards, strengthening its reputation in corporate governance excellence and community development impact.

The bank received the 3G Community Empowerment Award 2026 and the 3G Best Corporate Governance Framework Award 2026, honours presented under the Global Good Governance Awards platform organised by Cambridge IFA.

The awards ceremony took place on April 28, 2026, in Singapore, drawing more than 300 participants from over 15 countries, including policymakers, corporate leaders, and representatives from philanthropic and development sectors. The event spotlighted excellence in governance, transparency, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Mr. Eyitayo Olabode represented the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Roosevelt Ogbonna, at the ceremony and received the awards on behalf of the institution.

Reacting to the recognition, Ogbonna described the awards as validation of Access Bank’s commitment to responsible leadership, strong governance structures, and inclusive growth.

According to him, the bank’s governance philosophy is anchored on trust, transparency, and accountability, which he said are essential to delivering long-term value to stakeholders and driving sustainable development across its operating markets.

The 2026 edition of the programme also featured the Global Good Governance Summit and the unveiling of the Global Good Governance Report 2026, hosted by Dentons Rodyk in Singapore. The summit was themed “AI Governance for the Prosperity of the People and the Planet,” focusing on the intersection of technology, ethics, and sustainable development.

Access Bank’s recognition at the event further underscores its continued alignment of corporate performance with social impact, reinforcing its position as a leading institution in responsible banking and sustainable finance.
