The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration, calling for peace, unity, and collective support for security efforts across Lagos State and Nigeria.
In his Eid message, Dr. Ogunsan urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence which the festival symbolizes.
He described Eid al-Adha as a significant period that reflects the unwavering faith, obedience, and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, noting that the lessons of the season remain relevant to national development and social harmony.
According to him, sustainable growth and progress can only thrive in an environment of peace, stability, and mutual understanding among citizens regardless of ethnic, religious, or political affiliations.
The LSSTF boss also stressed the importance of collective responsibility in strengthening security and public safety across Lagos State.
He called on residents to remain vigilant during and after the festive period by reporting suspicious activities to relevant authorities and cooperating with security agencies in the protection of lives and property.
“The spirit of sacrifice which defines Eid al-Adha should inspire greater commitment towards supporting security architecture and community safety initiatives in Lagos State,” he said.
Dr. Ogunsan further prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings for Lagos State and Nigeria, while wishing Muslim faithful a peaceful and fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
