Rite Foods Celebrates Mothers, Applauds Women’s Strength and Resilience

Rite Foods Limited has celebrated this year’s Mother’s Day by recognising the resilience, sacrifices, and nurturing roles of women and mothers whose contributions continue to shape families, workplaces, communities, and the nation.

The company also paid tribute to women within its workforce who combine professional excellence with the responsibilities of motherhood, describing them as symbols of dedication, strength, and compassion.

Mother’s Day, observed globally on May 10, provided an opportunity for the food and beverage company to honour women whose commitment and sacrifices remain central to family development and societal progress.

Speaking on the significance of the celebration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods, Seleem Adegunwa, described mothers as critical pillars of society whose impact cuts across generations.

According to him, mothers embody selflessness, resilience, love, and strength, while playing essential roles in shaping values, building families, and driving societal growth.

“Mothers embody strength, selflessness, resilience, and love. They are builders of families, shapers of values, and drivers of progress. Their ability to give endlessly, nurture consistently, and rise above challenges deserves not just recognition, but deep appreciation and celebration,” he said.

Adegunwa added that Rite Foods remains committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where women are empowered to thrive professionally while balancing family responsibilities.

The company noted that beyond the workplace, women and mothers continue to create meaningful family experiences through everyday moments such as shared meals, school preparations, and family bonding.

It stated that through its range of products, including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Table Water, Fearless Energy Drinks, as well as Bigi and Rite sausages, the organisation remains committed to supporting memorable moments for families across Nigeria.

Also speaking, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, commended the resilience and invaluable contributions of women both within the company and in society.

He described women as the backbone of families, the heartbeat of communities, and an essential force in nation-building.

“The strength of women and mothers is extraordinary. Their resilience, patience, compassion, and ability to hold families together while excelling professionally are truly inspiring,” Eze stated.
