Rite Foods Reaffirms Commitment to Ojude Oba Festival Sponsorship

Leading Nigerian food and beverage company, Rite Foods Limited, has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Ijebu-land through continued sponsorship of the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival.

The company made the commitment during a press conference held ahead of the annual cultural celebration widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most prominent traditional festivals.

The 2026 edition, themed “Ojude Oba 2026: Celebrating the Legacy of Oba Sikiru Adetona,” is dedicated to the late Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, whose reign remains one of the most influential in the history of Ijebu-land.

Speaking at the event, Olaniyi Aderuku, Brand Manager for Fearless Energy Drink, said the company’s relationship with Ijebu-land extends beyond business operations, stressing that Rite Foods remains committed to supporting culture, tradition, and community development.

According to him, the partnership between Fearless Energy Drink and the Ojude Oba Festival reflects the brand’s values of courage, ambition, creativity, and self-expression.

“As Nigeria’s number one energy drink, Fearless has always stood for courage, self-expression, ambition, and the confidence to push boundaries. The festival itself embodies fearlessness through its rich culture, fashion, horsemanship, and creativity,” he said.

Aderuku noted that Rite Foods Limited has consistently partnered with the festival over the years, offering consumers memorable experiences through its brands and activations.

He disclosed that guests and participants at this year’s event would enjoy products including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, Bigi Flex Sausage, Rite Spicy Sausage, and Bigi Beef Sausage.

The company also reiterated its commitment to investing in people, culture, and host communities alongside its investment in technology and production facilities.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the Ojude Oba Festival Organising Committee, Prof. Fassy Yusuf, described the festival as a symbol of religious harmony, peaceful coexistence, and communal unity among the Ijebu people.

He said this year’s edition would celebrate the enduring legacy of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona while showcasing the rich traditions and cultural heritage of Ijebu-land.

Prof. Yusuf also unveiled the official logo for the festival and highlighted key attractions expected at the event, including the colourful parade of regberegbe age-grade groups and the equestrian display by 25 distinguished warrior families known for their historic contributions to the defence of the Ijebu kingdom.

Also speaking, Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Oluwasesan Fagbayi, represented by Governor Dapo Abiodun, described Ojude Oba as a major platform for tourism, economic growth, cultural pride, and social inclusion.

He added that the Ogun State Government remains committed to supporting the continued success and global recognition of the festival.
