The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has announced plans to commence immediate remedial works on a damaged section of the Ologunfe–Container Road following an assessment by its technical team, assuring residents and motorists of its commitment to restoring safety and preventing further deterioration.


The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has assured residents and road users that urgent measures are being taken to address the condition of a section of the Ologunfe–Container Road that has recently come under public concern.


In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Akadiri Ayorinde, the council said its technical team promptly visited the affected location and carried out a comprehensive assessment of the situation.


According to the statement, the local government is fully aware of the challenges affecting the road and has resolved to take immediate action to prevent further deterioration.


The council disclosed that remedial works will commence without delay to stabilise the affected section of the road and restore its condition for safe use by motorists, residents and other commuters.


It noted that the intervention forms part of the administration’s broader commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure and ensuring that roads across Ibeju-Lekki remain safe and functional.


The local government further assured the public that progress updates would be provided as work advances on the project.


Residents and road users were urged to cooperate with relevant authorities during the intervention period as efforts continue to improve transportation infrastructure within the rapidly developing local government area.
