Fidelity Bank Sponsors 2026 Young Innovators Camp to Equip Children with STEM and Financial Literacy Skills

Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and education by sponsoring the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free STEM-focused educational programme designed to equip children with practical science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills while fostering creativity, innovation and critical thinking.

The leading financial institution announced that the camp, organised by MONAT, commenced on July 20, 2026, offering participating children an immersive learning experience tailored to prepare them for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.

The initiative is designed to expose children aged between four and 10 years to age-appropriate STEM concepts through guided build sessions, hands-on practical activities and collaborative learning aimed at nurturing problem-solving abilities and stimulating curiosity.

Participants will also benefit from financial literacy classes, creative activities and interactive group sessions facilitated by experienced instructors, all geared towards building confidence, teamwork and innovation.

Speaking on the partnership, the Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the future belongs to individuals who can think creatively, solve problems and leverage technology to improve lives.

"The future will be shaped by those who can solve problems, think creatively, and harness technology to improve lives. At Fidelity Bank, we believe these abilities should be nurtured from an early age. Through the Young Innovators Camp, we are giving children the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a fun, practical and engaging way that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and encourages innovation. We want every child who participates to leave believing that they have the potential not just to succeed in the future, but to help create it," he said.

Nwagboh added that the bank views STEM education as a strategic investment in Nigeria's future, noting that today's young learners represent the country's next generation of engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors and technology leaders.

"As a bank committed to helping people grow, thrive and prosper, we see education, particularly STEM education, as a strategic investment in Nigeria's future. By partnering with MONAT, we are investing in a generation equipped with the skills, mindset and confidence to solve real-world challenges, create opportunities and contribute meaningfully to national development. This is more than a summer camp; it is about unlocking potential and inspiring the next generation of innovators," he added.

According to the bank, the Young Innovators Camp aligns with its broader corporate social responsibility agenda, which prioritises education, youth empowerment, skills development and expanded access to opportunities that improve long-term outcomes for individuals and communities.

The initiative also complements Fidelity Bank's existing education-focused programmes, including SWEETA, which supports children's development through various interventions.

To further encourage learning beyond the classroom, each participant will receive a specially curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM learning materials to support continued exploration and learning at home.

Participation in the Young Innovators Camp is free, with parents and guardians encouraged to register children between the ages of four and 10 for the programme.
