Group Endorses Tinubu for Second Term, Cites Security, Education and Infrastructure Achievements Ahead of 2027
The Forward Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group 2027 (ICG) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid for a second term in office, citing what it described as the administration's achievements in security, education, infrastructure development and economic reforms.
The Forward Bola Ahmed Tinubu Independent Campaign Group 2027 (ICG) has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, expressing confidence in his leadership and urging Nigerians to support his re-election bid in the 2027 general election.
The endorsement was announced on Monday during an event organised by the group, where members praised the President's performance across key sectors, including security, education, infrastructure and the economy.
Speaking at the event, the group said the Tinubu administration has made notable progress in tackling insecurity through the recruitment of 50,000 police officers, forest guards and additional military and paramilitary personnel. It also highlighted the allocation of N5.4 trillion to the security sector in the 2026 national budget as evidence of the government's commitment to strengthening national security.
The group further commended the administration's efforts to improve access to higher education through the Students Loan Scheme, noting that the initiative has provided financial assistance to thousands of students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to pursue tertiary education.
According to the ICG, the administration has also prioritised infrastructure development, with ongoing projects across the country contributing to improved living standards, job creation and economic growth.
On the economy, the group said the Federal Government's policies have encouraged investment, stimulated business activities and created a more favourable environment for economic expansion.
Describing itself as a coalition of professionals, experts, elder statesmen and grassroots mobilisers, the ICG maintained that President Tinubu's record in office and his vision for national development justify another term in office.
The group appealed to Nigerians to rally behind the President's 2027 re-election bid, expressing optimism that his continued leadership would sustain the country's development agenda and accelerate national progress.
