 Tegbe Foundation Empowers 60 Businesses, Social Enterprises Across Oyo

IBADAN, Oyo State — The Tegbe Foundation has empowered 60 small businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State with grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 each, as part of its youth and enterprise development initiative.

The initiative, tagged #JTstrikesDiamond, was formally rounded off at a colourful closing ceremony in Ibadan, marking the completion of the foundation’s direct financial support programme, with the majority of the beneficiaries being youth-led enterprises.

The initiative was conceived to commemorate the 60th birthday of the founder of Tegbe Foundation, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, while its presentation ceremony was held to coincide with the celebration of International Youth Day.

Speaking on the programme, the Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation, Mr Femi Adeleke, said the initiative was designed to provide practical support for young entrepreneurs and contribute to economic development across the state.

“This is more than support; it’s an investment in youth development, entrepreneurship, and a stronger economic future,” Adeleke said.

The closing ceremony attracted government representatives, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs, community stakeholders and other dignitaries, who commended the foundation for its intervention in supporting small businesses and young people.

Among those in attendance were Oloye Denrele Lekan-Salami, Ajia Balogun Olubadan; Engr. Bode Johnson; Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Stakeholder Engagement; Asiwaju Tayo Alabi; Chief Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun; Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye; and Hon. Raji Draj Ademola.

Several of the dignitaries delivered goodwill messages, expressing support for the foundation’s focus on youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and community development.

The foundation said the programme achieved its objective of providing economic support to 60 beneficiaries across Oyo State, particularly youth-led businesses and social enterprises, while strengthening its efforts to promote sustainable livelihoods and enterprise development.

The Tegbe Foundation is a philanthropic organisation focused on youth development, entrepreneurship and community empowerment across Oyo State and beyond.
