Comptroller General of Customs Appoints New Management in Acting Capacity
The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, has announced the appointment of new members to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) management team. These appointments, made in an acting capacity, follow the statutory retirement of several senior officers and are aimed at bolstering strategic service delivery within the organization.

In a statement released on August 23, 2024, by Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer for the NCS, the newly appointed and redeployed officers are as follows:

- **BM Jibo** – Deputy Comptroller General (DCG), Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS)
- **OA Alajogun** – Acting Deputy Comptroller General (Ag. DCG), Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I)
- **IG Umar** – Acting Assistant Comptroller General (Ag. ACG), Headquarters
- **OA Salefu** – Acting Assistant Comptroller General (Ag. ACG), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC)
- **BA Makinde** – Acting Assistant Comptroller General (Ag. ACG), Human Resource Development (HRD)
- **T Bomodi** – Acting Assistant Comptroller General (Ag. ACG), Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I)

The CGC noted that these appointments reflect the officers' dedication and exemplary service to the Nigeria Customs Service.
