Zion Ministry Set for International Conference, Clarifies Blogger’s Detention

Zion Prayer Movement Outreach is gearing up for its 3-day World Conference, scheduled to begin on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Amala Ntu, Ngor Okpala, Imo State. The conference marks the conclusion of the ministry’s annual 100-day fasting and prayer program.

At a press conference held in Lagos on Saturday, Bro Iheonu Patrick, a member of the Ministry’s Committee, described the upcoming event as a powerful spiritual gathering designed to help participants reconnect with God. He highlighted that the conference, which will be led by the Spiritual Director, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, promises to be a transformative experience with opportunities for miracles, healings, deliverance, and salvation. Attendees from both Nigeria and around the world are expected to participate.

Iheonu explained that the decision to host the event outside of Lagos was due to the limited space at the ministry’s Okota grounds, which could not accommodate the anticipated large crowd.

Addressing questions regarding the court case involving controversial blogger Chizorom Harrison Ofoegbu, popularly known as “Ijele,” Iheonu clarified that while the blogger had been granted bail after being charged with threatening the life of Evangelist Obi, he remains in detention. According to Iheonu, Ofoegbu is currently being held on unrelated cybercrime allegations involving other parties, pending further legal proceedings by state agencies.

In light of the current challenges facing the nation, Iheonu urged Nigerians to turn back to God, emphasizing the need for spiritual and moral renewal as a means of fostering national progress. He also called on those in better financial positions to extend a helping hand to the less privileged.

Iheonu further noted that Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, a non-denominational ministry, is committed to humanitarian work. Through its Seraphic Home Foundation, the ministry provides support to the poor, destitute, and orphans. Additionally, the Seraphic Hospital offers medical care to those who cannot afford it, while the ministry’s Legal Team provides legal aid to those in need.
