Lagos Agriculture Commissioner Commends MoneyMaster PSB for Supporting 'Ounje Eko' Food Program
MoneyMaster Payment Service Bank Limited (MMPSB), one of Nigeria’s leading payment service banks, has received commendation for its pivotal role in supporting Lagos State’s Ounje Eko initiative, a food price discount program aimed at providing relief to residents.
The recognition came from the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Ruth Olusanya, during a courtesy visit by the executive management team of MoneyMaster PSB to the Ministry of Agriculture in Ikeja.
Commissioner Olusanya expressed her appreciation for the bank's contributions to the successful implementation of Phases 1 and 2 of the Ounje Eko project. She highlighted the importance of the partnership between the Ministry and MoneyMaster PSB, emphasizing the potential for further collaborations to benefit Lagos residents.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Julius Arhebun, Head of Agency Banking at MoneyMaster PSB, thanked the Lagos State Government for selecting the bank as one of the official collection partners for the initiative. He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting future projects aimed at enhancing the welfare of Lagosians.
Licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in 2020, MoneyMaster PSB provides a range of services, including payments, remittances, deposit acceptance, electronic wallets, and debit and prepaid card issuance, all aimed at deepening financial inclusion in Nigeria.
As part of its efforts to broaden access to financial services, the bank recently introduced a 10% data bonus and a 100MB seeding bonus for both existing and new customers. These offers are available through its USSD code and mobile app, further reinforcing MoneyMaster PSB’s role in driving financial inclusion across the country.
This collaboration underscores the growing role of public-private partnerships in addressing societal needs and advancing economic development in Lagos State.
