Ibeju-Lekki LG Launches Unemployment Survey for Youths and Women

In a bid to address the growing unemployment challenges within its jurisdiction, the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has commenced an Unemployment Survey through its Department of Budget, Planning, and Statistics.

The week-long exercise, scheduled to run from May 22 to May 29, 2025, aims to capture accurate data on unemployed individuals—particularly youths and women, whether skilled or unskilled—across various communities within the local government.

The registration is taking place at the Local Government Secretariat, Igando-Oloja, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

According to a statement signed by Akadiri Ayorinde, the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, the initiative is part of broader efforts to gather vital statistics that will inform employment-related planning and empowerment programs in Ibeju-Lekki.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and ensure their details are duly captured.

“This exercise is a step toward tailoring impactful solutions to the employment needs of our people,” the statement noted.
