MFA Ambassador Movement Declares Support for Hon. Sesan Olowa’s Re-election Bid, as Chairman Showcases First-Term Achievements

Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos — June 26, 2025

In a grand political gathering that drew stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters from across Ibeju-Lekki, the MFA Ambassador Movement officially inaugurated its operations and declared unflinching support for the re-election bid of Hon. Sesan Abdullahi Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.

The well-attended event, organized by the Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly and leader of the MFA Ambassadors, Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola, was aimed at mobilizing grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming local government elections and to sensitize residents in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Ibeju-Lekki Backs Olowa for Continuity

Addressing the crowd, Hon. Fatai emphasized that Ibeju-Lekki remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a loyal base for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He described the “MFA Ambassadors” as a mobilization force established to strengthen voter participation and deliver overwhelming support for the party in 2027.

“We’re launching this movement to solidify the political base here in Ibeju-Lekki,” Hon. Fatai said. “This is Tinubu’s stronghold, and we are determined to deliver the highest number of votes in Lagos come 2027, starting with the re-election of our performing chairman, Hon. Sesan Olowa.”

Also speaking at the event, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, a prominent APC chieftain, pledged that Ibeju-Lekki is ready to deliver 50,000 votes for the APC during both the local government and general elections. He urged residents to mobilize their communities and emphasized that the party’s reward system would ensure that loyal and innovative members are duly recognized and rewarded.

Royal Backing and Grassroots Momentum

The Royal Highness of Ibeju Kingdom also lent his voice in support of Hon. Olowa’s second term ambition, calling on all sons and daughters of Ibeju-Lekki, as well as residents, to back the chairman at the polls.

“We cannot afford to disrupt the continuity of good governance,” the monarch said. “Support him with your votes, and persuade your neighbours to do the same.”
