The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar, has distributed 300 free General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms to indigent candidates in the council area.
The presentation, which held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall of the council’s Secretariat, followed a two-day screening exercise to select eligible beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adetola said the gesture was part of her administration’s commitment to making quality education accessible to all, regardless of social or economic background.
“This initiative is not just about academics; it is about lightening the burdens of families and giving every child a fair chance to succeed,” she said.
She assured that her administration has more education-focused programmes in the pipeline, including upgrading school infrastructure, sponsoring vocational training, and promoting a conducive learning environment to raise confident, empowered leaders.
The council boss noted that, as a mother, she understands the financial strain of nurturing children’s dreams, stressing that the GCE forms should be seen as an investment in the beneficiaries’ future.
