 Aroyewun Applauds Babajimi Benson, Rallies Grassroots on PVC Mobilisation

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has hailed the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Babajimi Benson (JB), for what he described as his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth of Ikorodu Division and Lagos State.

Aroyewun gave the commendation during the quarterly meeting of Hon. Benson with All Progressives Congress (APC) ward and local executives in Ikorodu Division, held at the lawmaker’s constituency office. The meeting served as a forum for party leaders and stakeholders to review progress and deepen grassroots engagement.

Describing Benson as “an instrumental and inspirational symbol of leadership,” Aroyewun noted that the federal lawmaker’s contributions have continued to inspire confidence, trust, and unity across the division.

Speaking on behalf of his colleague council chairmen, Aroyewun pledged the collective support of local government leaders in the area. He assured residents that they would not betray the trust reposed in them.

The council chairman also commended APC ward and LGA executives for their sacrifices in sustaining the party’s vibrancy at the grassroots, calling them the “silent strength of the party” whose dedication has been pivotal to its electoral victories.

Looking ahead, Aroyewun urged party leaders and stakeholders to intensify mobilisation for Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), stressing that voter participation remains the bedrock of democracy and inclusive governance.

“Mobilisation for PVC must not slow down. It is our responsibility to ensure more citizens are empowered to exercise their civic rights. That is the pathway to inclusion, unity, and prosperity,” he said.

The meeting, convened under the leadership of Hon. Benson, reinforced the spirit of collaboration and shared vision that continues to drive the APC in Ikorodu Division.
