Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu: “Many of Your Ministers Are Working for the Opposition”

Lagos, Nigeria – Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be wary of disloyalty within his cabinet, claiming that several ministers in his administration are secretly working against him.

Speaking to journalists in Ejigbo, Lagos, the cleric alleged that some of the president’s ministers are only pretending to be loyal while in reality aligning with opposition interests.

“There are a lot of ministers in Tinubu's cabinet who do not like him; they are just pretending,” Ayodele declared. “Some of the ministers are working for the opposition. They are deceiving him and doing nothing but serving their selfish ends.”

The cleric advised the president to carry out a thorough review of his cabinet, warning that failure to act could lead to greater challenges for his administration.

“Tinubu should be courageous enough to change some of his ministers. Some of them cannot even win their polling booths, let alone deliver for him in 2027. Some of the ministers he meets with weekly are the ones that will disappoint him,” Ayodele said.

He further claimed that resentment among certain cabinet members stems from perceptions of nepotism and favoritism in government appointments, adding that such discontent was fueling disloyalty.

Primate Ayodele stressed that the president must overhaul his team if he intends to strengthen his leadership and prepare effectively for the next general elections.
