The Port Harcourt II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has set a new record with an unprecedented revenue collection of ₦76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025 — the highest monthly revenue in the Command’s history.

The historic feat reflects the impact of strategic leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and renewed operational efficiency under the watch of the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali.

According to the Command, the performance was driven by sustained stakeholder engagement initiatives led by Comptroller Alkali, who has prioritized open dialogue with importers, licensed customs agents, and key port users to promote compliance, facilitate legitimate trade, and enhance revenue generation.

The CAC also credited the achievement to a deliberate reorganization of operational structures, including the strategic deployment of officers to critical beats based on operational needs — a move that has boosted productivity, resource optimization, and accountability within the Command.

“This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve through teamwork, professionalism, and collective commitment to national development,” Comptroller Alkali said.

He expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, including port operators, importers, and clearing agents, for their cooperation and patriotism, urging them to sustain the positive momentum for even greater results in the coming months.

Comptroller Alkali reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to aligning its operations with the vision of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, by strengthening systems to sustain improved revenue collection and trade facilitation while enforcing compliance with international trade regulations.

He emphasized that the Port Harcourt II Area Command will continue to drive initiatives that support legitimate trade, foster economic growth, and position the Command as a model of efficiency within the Nigeria Customs Service.
