Sanwo-Olu Attends 19th LSSTF Town Hall, Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Security in Lagos
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has arrived at the 19th Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) Town Hall Meeting on Security, an annual high-level gathering designed to update residents on the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance safety and security.
He was received by the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, alongside key stakeholders, security chiefs, community leaders, and civil society representatives. The forum underscores the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and collaborative security management.
Governor Sanwo-Olu is expected to present a comprehensive report on the state’s security achievements, including improvements in intelligence sharing, rapid response operations, community policing, and the integration of modern technology. Many of these advancements have been driven by the LSSTF and other strategic interventions aimed at fortifying Lagos’ security infrastructure.
His address will also spotlight ongoing initiatives to tackle emerging threats, deepen inter-agency cooperation, and safeguard lives and property across all communities. Key areas expected to be highlighted include investments in security assets, welfare support for law enforcement officers, deployment of surveillance systems, and continued partnerships with traditional rulers and local stakeholders.
Looking ahead, the Governor is set to announce new, forward-looking strategies to sustain public confidence, strengthen security reforms, and ensure that Lagos remains a safe, resilient, and globally competitive megacity. He is also expected to call for the active cooperation of residents by encouraging vigilance, lawful conduct, and participation in community-driven security efforts.
