The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has paid glowing tribute to the men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism in the defence of the nation.

In a message to mark the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Aroyewun described the occasion as a solemn reminder that Nigeria’s freedom, unity, and relative stability are sustained by the selfless service of gallant officers and soldiers, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

He urged Nigerians to continually remember and honour the fallen heroes whose bravery laid the foundation for peace and national cohesion, while also commending serving personnel and veterans for their dedication and resilience in the face of danger.

According to him, the commitment and sacrifice of the Armed Forces reflect the true spirit of Nigeria—strong, united, and unyielding—while serving as a source of inspiration, hope, and national pride.

Speaking on behalf of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, the council chairman expressed deep appreciation to the Armed Forces and reaffirmed the unwavering support of the local government for the military and other security agencies.

He concluded by praying that the sacrifices of Nigeria’s heroes would never be forgotten and that their legacy would continue to guide the nation toward lasting peace, unity, and a stronger Nigeria.
