Olam Agri Emerges Top Employer in Nigeria for Sixth Straight Year
Olam Agri has once again been recognised as a Top Employer 2026 in Nigeria, marking the sixth consecutive year the agribusiness giant has earned the prestigious certification from the Top Employers Institute.
The recognition underscores Olam Agri’s sustained commitment to building a high-performing and inclusive workplace anchored on data-driven people strategies, strong employee engagement and continuous organisational growth.
Beyond Nigeria, Olam Agri was also certified as a Top Employer across Africa for the sixth consecutive year, with additional recognitions in nine countries—Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Australia, The Netherlands and Switzerland—further reinforcing its status as an employer of choice across multiple regions.
The Top Employers Institute, a global authority in HR certification and benchmarking with operations in 131 countries and regions, assesses organisations through its HR Best Practices Survey. The evaluation spans six key domains, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
Commenting on the achievement, Jaideep Biswas, Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Human Resources at Olam Agri, said the consistent recognition reflects the company’s deliberate focus on its workforce.
“Securing the Top Employer Certification for the sixth consecutive year reinforces our focus and intentionality on building and sustaining an engaged, inspired and satisfied workforce. Our people are our greatest asset, and we continue to deploy cross-cutting programmes that drive excellence and shared learning,” Biswas said.
Also speaking, Anil Nair, Country Head of Olam Agri in Nigeria, noted that employee fulfilment remains central to the company’s broader mission.
“As we work towards ensuring a food-secure world, we also prioritise fulfilment for our world-class workforce. With strong contributions from our human resource leaders, we continue to record positive employee sentiment and high retention rates. This sixth consecutive certification motivates us to further strengthen our people practices as the world of work evolves,” Nair stated.
Olam Agri said its employer value proposition is driven by a strong culture of excellence that promotes collaboration, meritocracy and entrepreneurial thinking, supported by an inclusive workplace built on trust and autonomy. Employees are also empowered through easy access to senior leadership, enabling agile decision-making and innovation.
The company further highlighted its purpose-driven approach, with sustainability at the core of its operations—contributing to global food security, improved nutrition, enhanced community livelihoods and climate action. Its global footprint also provides employees with opportunities to build international careers through challenging assignments that support personal growth and long-term career aspirations.
Reacting to the certification, Adrian Seligman, Chief Executive Officer of the Top Employers Institute, praised Olam Agri’s consistency.
“Achieving the Top Employer Certification for 2026 reflects Olam Agri’s dedication to creating an outstanding workplace that supports sustained business performance. Their strong alignment between people strategy and organisational goals, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement, demonstrates the impact of their transformative practices,” Seligman said.
He added that the Institute is proud to recognise Olam Agri for its contribution to shaping a better world of work.
