LSSTF Boosts Road and Airport Safety With Operational Vehicles for FRSC, Lagos Police

In a sustained effort to strengthen security, road safety, and rapid response operations across Lagos State, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated operational vehicles to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command, and the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Airport Command.

The donations form part of LSSTF’s ongoing logistical support to law enforcement and safety agencies, aimed at enhancing mobility, operational efficiency, enforcement capacity, and emergency response across critical corridors in the state.

According to a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Sector Public Education Officer of FRSC Lagos, SRC Oluwadamilola Jayeola, the Lagos State Government has once again demonstrated its commitment to road safety and security through the presentation of an operational vehicle to the FRSC via the LSSTF.

The statement noted that the vehicle will enhance mobility, rapid response, and effective field operations, particularly in enforcement, rescue missions, and traffic management activities across Lagos.

The vehicle was formally handed over to the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, by the Director of Administration of LSSTF, Mr. Lewis Degbola, on behalf of the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Fund, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan.

Speaking during the presentation, Corps Commander Hamzat expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Ogunsan and the LSSTF for their consistent support, assuring that the vehicle would be strategically deployed and properly maintained to improve operational efficiency and promote safer motoring in the state.

He also commended Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering support for security and safety agencies, as well as his proactive efforts towards reducing road traffic crashes and strengthening emergency response capabilities across Lagos.

The FRSC Lagos Sector Commander reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and enhanced service delivery, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in it in line with national road safety objectives.

Similarly, LSSTF extended its support to airport security operations with the donation of an operational vehicle to the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Airport Command, to enhance patrols, surveillance, and rapid response within airport corridors.

The vehicle was officially presented by Mr. Degbola Lewis, Administrative Director of LSSTF, to key officials of the Lagos Airport Command, including SP Oladipupo Taiwo and CSP Daramola Kazeem.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and LSSTF, noting that the vehicle will significantly strengthen security operations, improve response time, and enhance the overall safety of airport users, personnel, and critical aviation facilities.

The twin donations underscore the Lagos State Government’s commitment, through LSSTF, to supporting security and safety agencies with vital operational tools necessary for safeguarding lives, infrastructure, and public confidence across the state.
