PSC Chairman Argungu Hails Hadiza Bala Usman at 50, Commends Contributions to Governance and Policing Reforms
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hashimu Salihu Argungu, has commended the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman, for her outstanding contributions to national development as she clocks 50.
Argungu spoke on Tuesday at the Hadiza Bala Usman @50 Governance Colloquium held at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The event attracted top government officials, policy experts and senior public servants, and focused on leadership, accountability, service delivery and results-based governance.
According to the PSC chairman, Hadiza Bala Usman has played a critical role in driving policy reforms, strengthening governance institutions and improving coordination across the public sector. He also acknowledged her support for initiatives aimed at enhancing the professionalism and operational effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force.
Argungu described her career as a model of discipline, courage and dedication to public service, noting her impactful leadership as former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority and her current role in policy coordination at the presidency.
“Her tireless efforts in policy coordination and results delivery have transformed key sectors and inspired a new generation of public servants, especially women, to pursue excellence in nation-building,” he said.
The PSC chairman congratulated Hadiza Bala Usman on attaining the milestone age of 50, describing it as a fitting celebration of a life devoted to integrity, purposeful service and national progress. He prayed for continued strength, good health and greater accomplishments in her ongoing service to the nation.
He reaffirmed the Police Service Commission’s commitment to working with stakeholders and reform-minded leaders to promote accountable governance and build a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
