SparkHubs Platform Launched in Lagos to Drive Digital Literacy, Empower 100 Million Nigerian Youths in Five Years
Lagos, Nigeria — Lagos on Tuesday hosted the official launch of SparkHubs, a new digital empowerment platform developed by The Global Clusters, with an ambitious target to equip at least 100 million Nigerian youths with digital literacy, leadership skills and economic opportunities within the next five years.
Unveiled at a well-attended event, SparkHubs was described by the Global President of The Global Clusters, Dr. Adekunle Azeez Badmus, as a structured ecosystem designed to reposition young Nigerians for productivity, service, leadership and social impact.
“This is more than a technological launch; it is a launch of responsibility, structure and hope,” Dr. Badmus said. “Every nation that thrives does so because it deliberately prepares its youth — not just for survival, but for service, leadership and relevance.”
He explained that The Global Clusters operates as what he termed the world’s first nation-building social media platform, focused on mindset reorientation, mentorship, skills acquisition and the structured deployment of young people into productive economic and civic engagement.
At the centre of the initiative is SparkHubs, a digital and community-based platform that aims to provide safe and structured spaces for youth empowerment. The platform is designed to deliver practical life skills, leadership development, mentorship and positive peer engagement.
Dr. Badmus disclosed that the initiative targets 37 million young Nigerians and one billion youths across Africa in the long term, positioning it as one of the continent’s most ambitious digital empowerment programmes.
He added that SparkHubs will promote youth engagement, entrepreneurship, human capital development and nation building, translating digital exposure into tangible socio-economic impact.
Relaunch of Project A.R.E
The event also featured the relaunch of Project A.R.E (Agriculture, Real Estate and Export), an inclusive economic initiative aimed at opening structured value chains for young people. The project seeks to promote wealth creation, dignity of labour and national productivity through participation in agriculture, property development and export activities.
Speaking on the initiative, the Managing Director of Arc-View Investments Limited, Mr. Abiodun Idowu Okegbenro, urged young Nigerians to see land as a strategic economic asset.
He cautioned against prioritising short-term, flashy investments and luxury lifestyles over long-term wealth-building opportunities such as land ownership, agriculture and real estate development.
According to him, integrating agriculture and real estate presents significant potential for enterprise development and sustainable economic growth.

Books, Panel Session Highlight Event
The launch also witnessed the unveiling of two nation-building books: Service and Sacrifice by AWO Victor Nnad (Rtd), which chronicles leadership and integrity under pressure, and How to Brand Yourself and Your Business for Digital Dominance by Dr. Daniel Ayodele, focused on helping young people thrive responsibly in the digital economy.
A high-level panel session themed “Impact of Social Media and Digital Literacy in Nation Building” formed a major highlight of the event. Moderated by communications expert and CEO of Cream Influence Strategies, Comrade Israel O. Bolaji, the discussion featured Prof. Chinedu Ogwus, Dr. Amos Fayehun, Pastor Temitope Emovon and Usanga Williams.
Panelists shared insights on ethical social media use, education, community development, digital literacy and responsible technology engagement.
Co-founder of Global Clusters, Dr. Michelle Ukoh, challenged Nigerian youths to reshape the country’s narrative by embracing positive values, culture and constructive use of social media. The 69-year-old African American leader noted that while challenges are global, Nigeria remains richly endowed with creativity, enterprise and human capital.
Keynote speaker and Patron of Global Clusters (USA), Dr. Cary Gouldson, underscored the role of literacy and life skills in national development. He described digital literacy as a critical tool for innovation, mindset transformation and sustainable growth across Nigeria and Africa.
Dr. Badmus concluded by calling on corporate organisations, development partners, faith-based institutions and philanthropists to support SparkHubs and Project A.R.E, stressing that nation building requires collective commitment.
“Nation building does not happen by government alone. When we sponsor a young person, we do not give charity — we secure the future,” he said.
