Agoro Presents Appointment Letter to LSSTF Boss, Ogunsan, as Lagos Reaffirms Commitment to Security

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has entered a new phase of leadership following the formal presentation of an appointment letter to its Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, by the Lagos State Government.

The presentation was conducted by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, on Monday, March 2, 2026, officially confirming Dr. Ogunsan’s leadership of the Fund and setting the stage for renewed security-focused interventions across the state.

Dr. Ogunsan’s appointment was earlier approved by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, with effect from October 31, 2025. The formal handover underscores the administration’s confidence in his capacity to strengthen Lagos’ security framework.

Since assuming office over 100 days ago, the LSSTF under Dr. Ogunsan’s leadership has intensified operational support to security agencies through the provision of patrol vehicles, logistics equipment and improved inter-agency coordination. The Fund has also strengthened collaboration with the private sector, enhancing resource mobilisation and reinforcing partnerships aimed at improving safety across Lagos.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Agoro commended the Executive Secretary for his performance within a short period, describing his early achievements as reflective of strategic and purposeful leadership. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to empowering the LSSTF to effectively support security agencies operating in Lagos.

In his remarks, Dr. Ogunsan expressed appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding security support initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes aligned with the state’s vision of a safer and more resilient Lagos.
