Easter: Senator Tokunbo Abiru Urges Unity, Renewed Commitment to Nation Building

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions and Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum, has extended Easter greetings to Christians in Lagos East Senatorial District and across Nigeria, calling for unity and renewed dedication to national development.

In a goodwill message marking the Easter celebration, the lawmaker emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic affiliations.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Abiru urged citizens to embrace the core values of love, sacrifice, and hope exemplified by Christ.

“On this commemoration of life, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us be guided by His teachings and strive to live in peace and harmony with one another,” he stated.

The senator also called on Nigerians of all faiths to remain steadfast in prayers for the country and to support the ongoing efforts of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at fostering economic growth and national prosperity.

He noted that the Easter season presents a timely opportunity for reflection, renewed hope, and collective resolve toward building a stronger and more united nation.

“Let this Easter inspire renewed faith in our nation, strengthen our unity, and reinforce our shared commitment to building a better Nigeria. Happy Easter,” Abiru added.
